Part 1: Privacy notice

1. Who we are

Tantric Dance UK is run by Angeline Wolfe, a sole trader, trading as Tantric Dance UK. Angeline is responsible ("the controller") for the personal information collected through this website and our events.

  • Phone: 07854 974290
  • Email: [privacy/contact email]
  • Postal address: [business or correspondence address]

2. What we collect

  • Early invitation list: your email address and, if you choose, your name, preferred Devon area and interests. We also record that you ticked the consent box and when you signed up.
  • Contact form: your name, email address and message.
  • Bookings: your name, email address, ticket details and payment confirmation. Card details are handled by our ticketing/payment provider and never stored by us.
  • Health and access information: if you choose to tell us about a medical condition, disability or access need so we can support you at an event.
  • Photos and video: only if you have agreed to be photographed at an event (see section 7).

3. How we use it and our lawful basis

  • Sending event news and invitations: your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email or by contacting us.
  • Replying to your enquiries: our legitimate interest in answering your questions.
  • Managing your booking and contacting you about your event: performing our contract with you.
  • Health and access information: your explicit consent, used only to keep you safe and support your participation, shared only with the facilitator and helpers at your event, and deleted after the event.
  • Keeping records of payments: legal obligation (tax and accounting).

4. How long we keep it

  • Invitation list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. We remove inactive contacts after [3] years.
  • Enquiries: [12 months] after our last contact.
  • Booking records: [6 years], as required for tax purposes.
  • Health and access information: deleted within [30 days] after the event.
  • Consent records: kept for as long as we email you, plus [2 years], as proof of your consent.

5. Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We use trusted providers to run the website and events:

  • Website hosting: Lovable [and its database provider, confirm in Lovable settings]
  • Email newsletters: [e.g. Mailchimp / MailerLite / Brevo]
  • Ticketing and payments: [e.g. Eventbrite / Hipsy / Stripe]
  • Email: [e.g. Google Workspace / Gmail]

Some of these providers may store data outside the UK, including in the USA or the EU. Where they do, they use legally recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or UK adequacy regulations.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict how it's used, to ask for a copy to take elsewhere, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, contact us at [email] or 07854 974290. We'll reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.

7. Photography at events

Because Tantric Dance involves closeness and eyes-closed dancing, we take photography consent seriously.

  • We only photograph or film events when this is announced in advance and at the start of the session.
  • You'll be asked whether you're happy to appear. If you'd rather not, you'll be given a simple way to show this [e.g. a coloured wristband] and won't appear in any images we publish.
  • Photos may be used on this website, social media and in event promotion.
  • If you change your mind later, contact us and we'll remove images of you from our website and social channels as soon as possible. We can't recall printed material or posts already shared by others.

Part 2: Cookies

8. Cookies and similar technologies

This website uses [only the cookies and browser storage needed for it to work, such as remembering your form progress / list confirmed cookies]. [We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.]

If we add analytics or any other non-essential tracking in future, we'll ask for your consent first through a cookie banner and update this page.

Part 3: Booking terms

9. The organiser

Events are organised by Angeline Wolfe, sole trader, trading as Tantric Dance UK, [postal address], 07854 974290, [email].

10. Booking and prices

  • Tickets are sold through [ticketing provider]. Prices are shown in GBP and include [any VAT, if applicable; most sole traders under the threshold aren't VAT-registered] and any booking fees, which are shown before you pay.
  • Your booking is confirmed when you receive a confirmation email.
  • Your ticket includes entry to the event as described on the event page.

11. Who can take part

  • Events are for adults aged 18 and over.
  • By booking you agree to follow our Participation, Consent & Boundaries guidelines, including the rules of the dance and the stop signals.
  • Please tell us before the event about any medical conditions or access needs. We'll talk it through with you to make sure the session works for you.
  • You must not attend under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

12. If you need to cancel

Because our events take place on a specific date, the usual 14-day right to cancel online purchases does not apply. Instead we offer:

  • [More than 14 days] before the event: a full refund [minus any non-refundable booking fee].
  • [Within 14 days] of the event: no refund, but you can transfer your ticket to another person (let us know their name) or move to a future event [once, subject to availability].
  • If you don't attend without letting us know, no refund is available.

13. If we cancel or change an event

  • If we cancel an event, you'll get a full refund including booking fees, or you can choose to move to a future date.
  • If we postpone an event, your ticket stays valid for the new date, or you can ask for a full refund.
  • If we make a significant change, such as a new venue or a different start time, we'll tell you as soon as possible and you can ask for a full refund if the change doesn't suit you.
  • We aren't responsible for travel or accommodation costs if an event is cancelled, so please consider this when making plans.

14. Being asked to leave

Anyone who ignores the consent guidelines or makes others feel unsafe will be asked to leave, without a refund.

15. Your health and wellbeing

Tantric Dance is a movement practice, not therapy or medical treatment. You take part at your own discretion and are responsible for your own body. You can pause or stop at any time. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that can't legally be excluded.

16. Concerns and complaints

If something doesn't feel right during an event, please speak to the facilitator or a helper straight away. Afterwards, contact Angeline at [email] or 07854 974290. Every concern is taken seriously and we aim to respond within [7] days. These terms don't affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
